Alamo Aviation Art is pleased to offer the Sold Out portfolio set JV-44 Galland's Eagles by Michael Howard. The JV-44 main print depicts a scene from the flight line at Munchen-Rhiem, the base of operations for the Squadron of Experts flying the Messerschmitt Me262. Luftwaffe General Adolf Galland is seen greeting his returning "Eagles". The color companion print Papagei shows the FW190 fighters used to fly protective cover agains U.S. P-51 and P-47 fighters - guarding the Me262 jets during take-off and landing. Their bright, bird-like coloration was used to make them highly visible to supporting anit-aircraft fire. The edition is completed by the black and white companion print Galland Portrait which shows Galland in his staff car as Me262s return to base. Please call or e-mail if we can be of assistance. Thank you for your continued interest in aviation art. Regards, Bob |
