Alamo Aviation Art is pleased to offer one of the rarest editions ever published by the Military Gallery: Horrido!, the Knight's Cross Tribute Edition with an original pencil drawing by artist Robert Taylor. The image shows Bf109s of I./JG52 as they plunge into combat high above the English Channel in the summer of 1940. The signatures on the main print represent 1225 aerial combat victories. This edition is accompanied by an original pencil drawing by Robert Taylor matted with the signatures of Gerhard Barkhorn, Erich Hartmann, Adolf Galland, Walter Krupinski, and Johannes Steinhoff. In total, an astonishing 2355 victories are represented by the 15 signatures. The original drawing is conservation matted with a museum quality reproduction Luftwaffe metal breast eagle. Note that due to the extreme rarity of the Barkhorn signature, it is enclosed in the protective covering of the drawing as issued by the publisher. This edition SOLD OUT at issue.
