Wolves in Sheep's Clothing by Harley Copic

Wolves in Sheep's Clothing aviation art print by Harley Copic available at Alamo Aviation Art

Alamo Aviation Art is pleased to announce that we have secured a copy of Wolves in Sheep's Clothing signed in pencil by Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington and artist Harley Copic. The legendary C.O. of VMF-214, the Black Sheep Squadron, is shown flying a Vought F4U Corsair which then displayed 20 victories. This aricraft was specially prepared for publicity photos designed for the States and it is unlikely that Boyington flew it in combat with such adornment. The 20 red flags would have made a natural aiming point for his adversaries. Copic is one of our favorite artists and has captured the likeness of Pappy in the cockpit remarkably well. This is a print we do not often see, and we were fortunate to obtain this copy in excellent never framed condition with the original Certificate of Authenticity.

Although Pappy signed many copies of his book, Baa Baa Black Sheep,
he did not sign many aviation art prints. This print has a pencil signature, which will not fade.

We appreciate your business. Bob
